Welcome to the University of Ghana School of Pharmacy, one of the six schools under the College of Health Sciences, University of Ghana. Being the premiere university in Ghana, the number one in West Africa and the seventh (7th) in Africa, the University has a long tradition of training world class professionals.  It is this quality of excellence that the School of Pharmacy brings to bear on the training of our Pharmacy students here at Legon.  

We can boast of highly experienced, committed and pleasant lecturers and scientists many of who are practicing pharmacists. We also have on our teaching staff, adjunct lecturers/professors who are regulators of the industry and profession.  

Our training programme exposes our students early to hospital, community pharmacies and local pharmaceutical industries.  These enable our students to link theory to practice, acquire capabilities and competencies needed to meet today’s pharmaceutical challenges and patient care needs.

Our faculty and staff at the school of pharmacy are very committed to the training of our pharmacy students to become responsible healthcare professionals. Our small class sizes enable constant interaction of students and lecturers to pay close attention to students and their academic and professional needs.

We have excellent teaching and internet facilities to support teaching and learning.  The University also offers recreational facilities as well as an exciting opportunity for students to interact with Ghanaian and international students in other academic disciplines and be exposed to the diverse and rich cultures to enrich one’s life experiences.
