September 17, 2025

Over the years the department identified that most student find course taught by the department very challenging. To address this, various strategies to enhance the teaching experience and foster a deeper interest in these courses among our students were implemented. One of such strategies is the HoD’s Excellence Award.
The award and the goal of which is to acknowledge and honor best performing students in pharmaceutical chemistry courses in the immediate past semester. This award covers levels 100 to 400.
The spirit behind the award is to motivate, encourage and boost the students’ interest in our courses and create an atmosphere of healthy competition among students. The award comes in the form of certificates and cash prizes. The best performing students at the end of all semester examinations are awarded.
