
On Monday, January 26, 2026, the School of Pharmacy held an in-person orientation programme for its newly admitted students to usher them into the 2025/2026 academic year. The programme was designed to provide the fresh cohort of students with essential academic, administrative, and professional guidance.

The Dean, Prof. Irene Mawuena Akwo Kretchy, and respective Heads of Department (Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics & Microbiology, Pharmacognosy & Herbal Medicine, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Pharmacy Practice & Clinical Pharmacy), each took turns to orient students in their specific areas of study.

The School Administrator and School Accountant also addressed the students on student support services both administrative and financial.
Dr. Michael Lartey (School Examination Officer) outlined examination regulations, while Dr. Philip Debrah (Chief Invigilator) discussed expectations for professional conduct.

Library services were presented by Ms. Naomi Amofah-Serwaa to ensure students knew how to access necessary research materials. This was followed by a tour of the Balme Library to offer them hands-on experience in the library.

The orientation concluded with an interactive Question & Answer session allowing the students to seek clarification from Members of Faculty and Staff present.
