On Saturday, February 2026, the University of Ghana Pharmacy Students’ Association (UGPSA), in collaboration with the University of Ghana Allied Health Students Association and the School of Nursing and Midwifery Students Association, hosted Akwaaba Night at the SOP Forecourt to officially welcome freshers to the University

With approximately 500 students in attendance, the programme was organised primarily to facilitate the integration of the students into university life and to offer them an opportunity to interact and build relationships beyond their respective schools, thereby fostering unity among Health Sciences students.

Activities included interactive games, singing, dancing, and other fun performances that created a lively and engaging atmosphere among participants.
