
On Thursday, 19th June 2026, the University of Ghana Pharmacy Students’ Association (UGPSA) officially presented shelves, a microwave, and a refrigerator to the Teaching Assistants’ Office in a brief ceremony.
The event was attended by the Dean(Prof Irene Kretchy), the School Administrator(Mrs. Mavis Osafo Adu) and Dr. Mahmoud Brobbey, Head of Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, the Head of the Teaching Assistants, Miss Gloria, members of the UGPSA executive body, and some teaching assistants.

The ceremony commenced with welcome remarks, after which the UGPSA President delivered a speech on behalf of the association. In his address, he explained that the items were donated to make the working environment of the Teaching Assistants more comfortable and functional.

The Dean, in her remarks, expressed her appreciation and satisfaction with the initiative and commended the association for its efforts in improving the academic environment. She disclosed that plans were underway to provide new curtains and chairs for the office.
The Head of the Teaching Assistants, Miss Gloria Ntiamoah, also expressed her gratitude to UGPSA for the thoughtful donation and support.


Following the speeches, the ribbon was officially cut to commission the items, after which photographs were taken to mark the occasion.
The ceremony ended successfully reflecting UGPSA’s commitment to supporting both students and staff and contributing to a better academic environment.
