Responsibilities

  • Assist and provide secretarial support for the Head of Department
  • Liaises with the School of Graduate Studies in Students’ theses/dissertation matters
  • Typing reports, letters, memo, agenda, minutes.
  • Dispatch letters to appropriate offices
  • Filling letters and other documents connected with work handled in the department and referring them to the appropriate staff for further action.
  • Create and maintain students/staff records
  • Manages the Head if Department’s Diary
  • Answer questions about departmental programs
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy filling system
  • Prepare written responses to routine enquiries
  • Performs any other duties assigned by the Head of Department.
  • Facilitate timely thesis submissions and maintain proper records.
